Tim O'Hara
Owner
Tim started working in construction when he first moved to the area in 2005 and quickly discovered his passion for building custom homes. In 2014 he created Coastal Custom Builders, loving the challenge and satisfaction of managing a project from conception to completion. When you meet Tim, you’ll understand why his favorite part of his job is building relationships with clients, team members, architects, and subcontractors. He is a people person through and through with a great work ethic.
Joey O'Hara
Director of Construction
Originally from Georgia, Joey has been working in construction in Santa Rosa Beach since 2006. He started in the industry as a framer, joined Coastal Custom Builders in 2016 as a project manager, and is now our supervisor of construction. His extensive knowledge and background in framing and structure gives our clients extra comfort knowing that their homes are being built to last. When Joey is not on a job site, he is a dedicated father who is also committed to cheering on the GA Bulldogs.
Aubrey Rettig
Pre-Construction & Estimating
Aubrey graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in architecture and a master’s degree in Construction Management, She moved to panhandle in 2010 and joined CCB 2017. Her role at Coastal Custom Builders has changed over the years as the business has grown and she now focuses on client networking, estimating, permitting, and contracts. When Aubrey is not working at CCB she enjoys traveling and reading.
Ben Whitley
Finance & Business Development
Ben serves CCB as the Director of Finance and Business Development, overseeing the financial practices of the business. He joined CCB in 2021 and is excited to support the growth in the area and demand from our clients for high quality custom construction. Prior to this, Ben worked at Morgan Stanley serving high net worth individuals and institutions in their investment and planning needs. Originally from North Carolina, Ben graduated from Auburn University in 2014 and has been a NW Florida native ever since. When away from the office Ben enjoys cooking, entertaining, and being outside.
Martha O'Hara
Accounting
After moving to the Emerald Coast with her husband, Martha (Tim’s Sister-in-Law) has committed herself to helping CCB succeed. You might hear us refer to her as “Termite”, a nickname given by her father when she was younger. And while she still has a small physique, she makes a gigantic impact daily. From office administration, to bookkeeping, to insurance, Termite keeps Coastal Custom Builders running like a well-oiled machine. When she isn’t at the office you can find her at her son’s ballgames or visiting her other two children and their families.
Josh Bartlum
Project Manager
Josh, a Florida native, is another University of Florida graduate. Go Gators! When he moved back to the area after college, he gained a few years of experience, fine-tuned his management and problem-solving skills, and learned a multitude of handy skills, and then joined the CCB team mid-2018. He has shown a lot of enthusiasm and a go get em’ attitude we have all come to love and his attention to detail is something our clients highly appreciate. On weekends and holidays, he and his family enjoy all the outdoor activities the Emerald Coast has to offer—hiking, fishing, boating.
Olesya Moates
Project Coordinator
Olesya moved to the States in 2007 from Russia. She joined Coastal Custom Builders team in 2021 after working the past 4 years in the electrical industry. She works hands on with our clients—communicating key information, procuring materials, and coordinating delivery of all interior home finishes. She brings more than just her culture to the team. She is hardworking, energetic, and attentive to detail. When she is not at work she enjoys traveling, hiking, shopping with family and friends.
Edgar Lara
Project Manager
Edgar has many years’ experience in construction. He worked in the field for over 8 years, has additional experience in land surveyor and working for a building engineer consultant, and another 4 years’ experience as an intern architect. He originally left construction to pursue a college degree where he earned a BS in Architecture. He joined our team in 2021 and brings a refreshing new perspective. He also has a calm and collected demeanor in this fast-paced environment which is highly appreciated by our clients.
Brendan Parmelly
Project Manager
Originally from California, Brendan moved to Fort Benning Georgia where he served four years as an Army Ranger. He has over seven years experience in the construction management business. He joined the CCB team in 2022 and looks forward to learning and growing with our company. When not at work he loves to spend time with his wife and 3 kids
Chris Claybourne
Assistant Project Manager
Chris is a graduate from Auburn University, War Eagle! He relocated to the area shortly after graduating to assist our team. He has worked in construction from a young age with his uncle and also gained experience during the summer months in college. Chris is eager to learn more about residential construction and custom home building specific to our area. During his personal time, he, his fiancé and dog enjoy the outdoors – relaxing at the beach, duck hunting, kayaking, and grilling—all that 30a and the Gulf Coast has to offer!
